'Kanangra Walls, NSW' by Paul Gibbs
Focal length: 500mm OverviewFaraway subjects come right up close, and the distance between the main subject and the background is compressed for professional-looking results. Even as the lens extends the telephoto range to focal length 500mm – which enables ultra-telephoto shots of subjects further than the eye can see – its design is extremely lightweight and compact. When mounted on a digital SLR with an APS-C size imaging sensor, it provides a much greater focal length equivalent – around 750mm – for super-ultra-telephoto imaging. The lens is supplied with a hood and a detachable Filter Effect Control, which allows rotation of a filter with the hood attached. Design features
